And now, I'm back to page 1, rewriting with a different plot but the same name and characters.
So it's the morning of November 1st and the start of NaNo. 1 month, 50000 words. I'm embarking on an interesting journey through literary fiction land with two characters, a title, and barely a semblance of a plot.
And to give you an idea of where I'm heading (actually, there's really no way to tell) here's a tiny bit of the opening:
Katherine hated her first name. She preferred Kit, but every official document pissed her off with “Katherine.” To finally have a letter that began with “Dear Kit” made her smile. Maybe, just maybe, after nineteen years, the old name would slowly disappear in favor of the new one.
I have a title. The graphic says it all.
